The Need:
The Eaton Fire devastated small businesses across Altadena and Pasadena — leaving many owners facing financial loss, operational challenges, and emotional exhaustion.
Business owners don’t just need money — they need people.
People who will walk alongside them with practical guidance, encouragement, and expertise as they recover, rebuild, and move toward long-term resilience.
We’re Looking for Volunteers Who Can:
Listen well
Share their business or professional experience
Provide guidance and encouragement
Offer short-term expertise or long-term support
Volunteer Roles Available:
•Business Coaches
Walk alongside business owners as they recover, rebuild, or pivot—offering strategic guidance, accountability, and encouragement.
Commitment: 1–2 sessions/month for 3 months
Ideal for business coaches, consultants, or experienced leaders with a background in strategy, operations, marketing, or finance.
•Mentors
Offer relational support, personal encouragement, and insight based on your life or professional experience.
Commitment: 1–2 sessions/month for 3 months
Ideal for seasoned professionals, retirees, nonprofit leaders, or community elders with a heart to encourage others.
•Consultants / Subject Matter Experts
Provide short-term expertise in areas like:
Marketing & Customer Engagement
Financial Management & Access to Capital
Business Strategy & Operations
Legal Guidance & Compliance
Insurance & Disaster Recovery Support
HR & Staffing
Mental Health & Wellbeing
Commitment: 1-2 sessions as needed
Ideal for industry professionals with specific expertise willing to contribute on a flexible basis.
•Workshop Facilitators or Panelists
Lead educational sessions or panel discussions on topics related to small business recovery and resilience.
Commitment: 1-time or occasional engagements
Ideal for trainers, public speakers, and subject-matter experts with a passion for sharing knowledge.
