RESCUE THE SUFFERING
& WE ENCOURAGE
A Country with Untapped Potential
Sierra Leone is a nation rich in culture and resilience. Yet, in the rural areas of Freetown, many individuals face overwhelming barriers to employment and economic opportunity. Limited access to entrepreneurial training and investment has left promising leaders under-resourced and underserved.
But hope is rising.
The Need
In rural Freetown, the high rate of unemployment and lack of business training has left a generation without viable pathways toward economic stability. Despite their drive and creativity, aspiring entrepreneurs often lack the mentorship, tools, and capital they need to succeed. The result is not just financial struggle—but missed opportunities to build thriving communities from within.
The Opportunity
Through a new partnership with Rescue The Suffering and We Encourage, Hope Ventures is launching a two-part Business Development Initiative designed to foster economic growth, self-sufficiency, and spiritual transformation.
Over the course of four months, this initiative will provide:
Train-the-Trainer Certification for up to 5 local facilitators
6 Leadership Coaching Sessions for RTS project leaders
A Two-Day Business & Community Assessment evaluating local businesses including a grocery and bookstore
Basic Business Workshop for 20+ aspiring and current entrepreneurs
Advanced Business Workshop focusing on customer strategy and innovation
All training is designed to be culturally responsive, empowering local entrepreneurs to build sustainable businesses that uplift families and entire communities.
