How do I use Zoom?
Signing on to your first Zoom video session requires some preparation. Here is a guide to preparing you for your session:
Requirements:
Zoom software downloaded before your session.
Speakers and a microphone – built-in or USB plug-in or wireless Bluetooth. Many people choose to use headphones with a built in mic.
A webcam or HD webcam - built-in or USB plug-in
A stable internet connection – mobile broadband or fixed wireless
Step 1: Download Zoom
When you use the link you were sent, it will automatically take you to download Zoom (if you don't have it) and then you can join the meeting. Make sure to give yourself time enough to download software before your session.
You can also use the button below to download the Zoom software right now.
Step 2: Join the Call
Once you have Zoom downloaded, you don't need to do anything until the time of your session. Just return to the original invitation you were sent and click the link.
A Note for Mac users:
You might see a pop-up window titled External Protocol Request. Just click "Launch Application" and it will launch Zoom automatically for you.
If you check the box next to "Remember my choice for all links of this type" you won't see this notification again.
Step 3: Enjoy your Session
It's that easy! Download the software, click the link, and you're ready to start your session.
