Harry's Story | Turning Pain Into Purpose

Lilongwe, Malawi

Harry Nanthambwe grew up angry — carrying the weight of abuse in his home, a father who died before Harry could make things right, and years of being bullied, written off, and battling depression. "People never gave me a chance in life," he says. "They thought maybe I would not make it."

Today, Harry runs Zerubbabel Crafts, a woodworking business he built after joining Hope Business Hub, Hope Ventures' partner in Malawi. The skills changed his business. What he didn't expect was how much they'd change him — helping him manage his finances, secure land for his family, and employ others who now support their own. He's also become a mentor, opening his workshop to young people looking to learn a trade, hear about Jesus, and find encouragement along the way.

I am Exhibit A that God can restore what was broken and put it together for His beauty.
— Harry Nanthambwe

Stories like Harry's are only possible because people believed in him before the results showed up. Thank you for being part of that.
