A New Chapter Begins

In a country where nearly 1 in 5 people live below the poverty line, entrepreneurship offers a powerful pathway to lasting change—and your support is making that possible. In 2024, a new training program launched in Manila through our partnership with Extreme Response Asia, a local organization being equipped by Hope Ventures through coaching, curriculum, and ongoing support. This initiative is built on the belief that local leaders are best positioned to walk with entrepreneurs in their own communities and thanks to you, they’re being empowered to do just that.

In February, a team traveled to Manila to meet with program leaders and spend time with the very first cohort of 18 entrepreneurs. These men and women have completed their first year of training and are beginning to launch and grow small businesses—ranging from barber shops and welding services to salons, restaurants, and sewing enterprises. One of the most meaningful moments of the trip was attending the launch of their new entrepreneur association, a peer-led group designed to foster accountability, collaboration, and long-term growth.
